If you are installing Dingo into a fresh/empty Joomla, you can use this SQL file to create a mostly configured Dingo 1.5.8. (fyi: this does not replacing the installation portion of Dingo. you still need to run the installer first to get the source files in place... then you would go do phpMyAdmin drop all Joomla tables and import the above)

Doing a Dingo install into production site? READ THIS

Below we have created what we believe is to be the shortest possible set of steps that you would need to take to get Dingo running.

Yes, there's much more we have written, but who likes to read manuals? We figure, if we have to give you gobs of instructions, then we've failed in our Dingo concept which is to make things quick to use, easy to learn.

Here are the five things you need to know to determine if Dingo will be a fit for you:

1. Install and Configuration

2. The Backside of Dingo

3. Frontend Prep - One Client, One Project

4. Working With Tasks/Items

5. Check Project Status

If you have bugs to report, just sending screenshots if very ok. If we have questions, we'll write back. The official Dingo website is the place to go for updates so check there as we're posting there daily.

If you like Dingo, please tell us about it at dingo@taskhopper.com

Thanks again for your support!

Questions and some Quick Answers

Where are the modules? Taskhopper had modules. Dingo has none?

Yes, no modules ... yet. Taskhopper had four modules: The Menu, Taskers Online, Open Timers and Search by #. We put The Menu and Taskers online in the Dingo control panel, got rid of Open Timers and will likely bring back the Search by item #. Click here if you would like to see how Taskhopper compares to Dingo in this regard.
