How To Add/Remove Images via Joomla Media Gallery

Step 1 - Login as admin


Step 2 - Click Media Manager


Step 3 - Click on directory where files are stored


Step 4 - Click again on directory


Step 5 - To remove any image, click the red X


You can view the image by clicking the file name.

Step 6 - To add an image, browse it then click Start Upload


Step 7 - Multiple delete


Note:
You can change existing images via the Media Manager or use FTP. To get rid of one, just delete it. To add a new, upload it. Thumbnailing in most galleries is automatic, so only the primary (larger) needs to be uploaded. (be aware that if you upload in Media Manager you may not be able to overwrite/delete via FTP due to file ownership... i.e., If you use Media Manager, then always use Media Manager)

However, if you use FTP, Media Manager will have no problem deleting.

Things you can't do in Media Manager like rename files and move them to other directories. Media Manager is just fine for basic quick adds and deletes.
