More about the CMS/Taskhopper Paper
If you're reading this, it's possible that you have
come here via the Why You want a CMS. If not, that's
fine too, but we'll assume you've read this. (if not, you
can click below)
We have posted the supporting docs/details that may
be helpful for you in learning more about what it takes
to build a CMS-based site. It's our goal to give you lots
of information because sharing benefits everyone.
Why You Want a CMS (300K PDF)
This is a four page PDF (mentioned above) formatted
for 11 x 17 landscape output. (We've converted it to
8.5 x 11, if you plan to print
this on a regular printer!)
We generally mail or hand deliver these because some people
still really like paper on which to doodle.
The Full Survey
If you are just starting work on a new
site or thinking of revamping what you have, you should
download this and make doodles all over it before you call
a web design company. They'll need to know these answers,
and so should you. If any company wants to begin work on
your site without knowing these answers, make sure you
do not pay them until after you see their completed work.
Install Sheet for a Simple Taskhopper Site
Each CMS site we build generally has a sheet that looks
something like this one. This is a site we built to help
a group of about 12 developers create an online requirements
document. This is would be a perfect example of the
minimum amount of time it takes to build a "bare bones"
site that's fully operational. (very little content, not
much to look at, but is 100% ready to manage projects)
TaskHopper, The Website
We've created an official Taskhopper website. If you want
to learn more about how you can manage lots of tasks for
lots of people in different locations, we invite you to
explore the product we use to run our business.
IBCNET-Romania
This is the our partner, the group with whom we conspired to
create a task management tool that would be good enough for
us to use. If you're looking to connect with any aspect of
doing business in Romania, we highly recommend IBCNET.
There may be some other things we've forgotten to include
here. If you think of any, please let us know.
Thanks and good luck with you new site! Call us if we can
be of any service to you.
